Principal Dr Janet Rose is the keynote speaker at the BRIDGE Conference 2024 on 8 February 2024.

The one-day Virtual School Bridge Conference champions the education of children within educational settings, working to ensure they fulfil their potential. The conference, hosted by Trafford Virtual School, brings together social workers, carers, partners, and those who work in education, to share best practices around supporting and promoting the education of Looked After Children.

In the keynote, Dr Rose outlines key messages from research on being an attachment and trauma responsive school along with practical strategies for supporting pupils, with a particular focus on the use of Emotion Coaching. Emotion Coaching is an evidence-based strategy that promotes the development of children and young people’s self-regulation. Dr Rose and Trafford’s Director of Children’s Services, Director of Early Help and Children’s Social Care and Director of Education Standards Quality and Performance, share ideas about working together to maximise the educational achievement of Looked After Children.
