Mandy Edmond MA - Vice Principal, Head of Quality and Standards and Registrar

Mandy Edmond is the Vice Principal, Head of Quality and Standards and Registrar at Norland. This involves leading and/or co-ordinating curriculum, teaching and learning, business delivery, quality and standards and student and academic services. She is also responsible for Norland’s compliance with the higher education regulatory framework including QAA, HEFCE, OIA, HESA and UCAS. She deputises for the Principal in her absence and has been leading Norland’s application for TDAP. She has guided Norland through successful QAA reviews and HEFCE SCD applications and has spoken at national QAA and HEFCE conferences on the subjects of student engagement and enhancement. Prior to Norland, she worked in higher education in two FE Colleges and at the University of Reading as Programme Director, where she designed and managed an undergraduate and postgraduate programme. Mandy has co-authored a text book for Early Years students and been involved in a SIG literature review for BERA. She has an MA in Teaching and Learning from the University of Reading and is soon to embark on an EdD.
