Norland is proud to announce that Elspeth Pitman, Head of Graduates: Placement, Employment & Alumni, has been appointed to the judging panel for theHome-Based Childcare Awards 2025.

The Home-Based Childcare Awards, organised and hosted by Coram PACEY celebrate excellence across the home-based childcare sector in England and Wales, recognising childminders, nannies, and childminding assistants who make a lasting impact on children’s lives.

Coram PACEY is the professional childcare and early years association arm of Coram, a children’s charity group focused on children’s rights and wellbeing through legal support, advocacy, adoption services, therapeutic, educational and cultural programmes. As a professional association, Coram PACEY supports those involved in childcare and early education with information and advice to provide high quality care for children, their families and carers.

As a judge for the ‘Nanny of the Year’ category, Elspeth will help identify and honour outstanding childcare professionals who exemplify dedication, skill, and compassion in their roles. Elspeth’s appointment to the judging panel reflects Norland’s continued leadership in early years education and its commitment to promoting best practice across the sector.

The Nanny of the Year award is designed to celebrate the dedication of outstanding nannies and elevate their profile within the early years sector. This objective closely reflects Norland’s commitment to professionalising the field of nannying and increasing recognition of the vital role nannies play in children’s lives.

Reflecting on her appointment, Elspeth said: “I am delighted to have been asked to join the panel of judges for the Home-based Childcare Awards 2025. It is so important to celebrate the amazing work dedicated early years practitioners do in the home environment, nurturing young children and building our future society.”

The awards opened for entries on 16 October and will close on 10 November, with winners announced via Coram PACEY’s social media channels in early December.
