Emma Burns MPhil (Oxon), FCCA - Chief Financial Officer, Head of Finance and Capital Projects

Emma is responsible for all financial matters at Norland, as well as capital projects. As part of the Executive Team, she works closely with the Principal and Vice Principal on the strategic plan. Emma is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants having qualified in 2000 and has worked in a mixture of commercial and not for profit roles in Sydney, London and in the Bath area before coming to Norland in 2022. In her late teens, Emma worked overseas as a nanny for several years before returning to the UK when she gained a Master’s degree from the University of Oxford and then embarked on her career in finance.
