Norland is delighted to announce the launch of its partnership with Holiday Hands.

This partnership will enable families to secure affordable, bespoke childcare from Norland students in training to become Norlanders, or Norland Nannies as they are known, while providing Norland students with opportunities to work and earn while they study.

Founded in 1892 by Emily Ward, Norland has been at the forefront of childcare training for almost 129 years, giving students the opportunity to become amongst the world’s most sought-after childcare professionals. Norland students undergo four years of rigorous training to earn two distinct qualifications: a BA (Hons) degree in Early Years Development and Learning and the prestigious Norland Diploma.

“Through Holiday Hands, families will now have the opportunity to have some extra help from a future Norlander while they are still training.”

Holiday Hands specialises in affordable, bespoke childcare for families. Its aim is to provide families with an extra pair of hands whether on holiday, at home or at events such as weddings.

Dr Janet Rose, Principal of Norland, said: “We are delighted to partner with Holiday Hands to provide opportunities to our students to earn while they learn and to gain more experience. Fully qualified Norlanders are highly sought after and come with a high price tag, which means many families miss out. Through Holiday Hands, families will now have the opportunity to have some extra help from a future Norlander while they are still training.”

Holiday Hands founder and mother of four, Milly Lewis, said “We are excited about our new partnership with Norland College enabling Norland students to work as Holiday Hands. This allows Holiday Hands to provide childcare from newborn babies all the way through the teenage years. Our two organisations share the same ethos; bespoke, high quality support for children and families based on love and nurture. Through Holiday Hands, we’re able to offer families an affordable opportunity to hire future Norland Nannies.”
