Clare Harvey-Smith NNEB, Norland Diploma, PGCE, RSH, CAVA - Placement Officer

Clare joined the staff at Norland College in August 2017. As a Norlander herself, she has had a wide and varied career, most recently working in Early Years Departments attached to independent prep schools. Clare worked as a nanny in London after qualifying and then moved into Education, starting with the Nursery School at Norland whilst they were at Denford Park; then moving to a local authority Primary School that was setting up a new Nursery Department. She has also worked in other home related childcare fields and been a Registered Childminder. Her most recent appointment was as a Reception Teacher after gaining PGCE status at the University of Buckingham. Clare is looking forward to working with the students whilst supporting them in their Placements and feels passionate about the Norland training. She took part in CPD at Norland in 2016, completing the Maternity Practitioner Certificate.
