Post title: Placement Officer

Salary: Grade H £35,958 – £38,519 (prorated to £28,766 – £30,815) Placement on the grade is dependent on experience and qualifications

Hours: 28 hours per week (0.8 contract)

Location: 39-41 Upper Oldfield Park, Bath, BA2 3LB

We are looking to appoint a fixed term Placement Officer to join our busy and thriving placement team from 26 January 2026 to cover maternity leave within the department, this will be for approximately 14 months. You will work as part of the academic team to help provide a high standard of placement support for all students. You must hold an appropriate Early Years related qualification at Level 3 or above and have recent demonstrable experience working within the Early Years field.

The successful candidate will contribute to the assessment of students by monitoring placements, providing written risk assessments and preparing reports on student performance. This will involve visiting students on placement in London approximately five times a year. We are looking for someone who is committed and creative who can assist the Placement Manager and wider team in developing new initiatives.

You will need to be a self-starter, with the ability to get on well with people, be highly organised in order to meet deadlines and work to a high level of accuracy. A flexible approach to your work and a friendly, approachable nature are key to being successful in this role.
