Biography
With three decades of experience working within early years care and education, Rosa-Lyn brings a wealth of practical expertise to Norland. Following her training as a Nursery Nurse in Bath, Rosa-Lyn worked in nursery settings, as an au pair, and as a nanny, across roles in the UK, Europe and America. Building on this foundational knowledge, Rosa-Lyn trained as a primary school teacher. She has since gained almost 20 years’ experience in primary education, predominantly as a reception teacher and senior leader in a large Wiltshire primary school. Her teaching experience also included a year in Australia through the League of Exchange for Commonwealth Teachers (LECT).
While teaching, Rosa-Lyn continued her own professional development in the classroom. An action research project on early mathematics was the basis for her PGCert in professional learning at Bath Spa. Rosa-Lyn later completed an MA in Early Childhood Education through the University of Sheffield, exploring the impact of iPads in an early years classroom for her dissertation.
More recently, Rosie has worked as an interim SENCo in a primary school and as an Early Years Regulatory Inspector (EYRI) for Ofsted. She is passionate about nurturing young children’s development through high quality care and provision at the earliest opportunity.
