Norland was delighted to host the Royal Commonwealth Society (RCS) Bath and District Branch annual general meeting at our Oldfield Park campus.

The RCS Bath and District Branch held its annual general meeting (AGM) in June at Norland, hosted with support from Principal Dr Janet Rose. The event brought together students, RCS members, and leaders from across the area.

Among the attendees were Caroline Boddington, Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Somerset, and the newly appointed Mayor of Bath, Professor Bahrat Pankhania. The AGM was followed by a presentation from Sanchia Jones and student Rebecca from One Young World Bath on their participation at the 2024 One Young World summit at Montreal which brought together young leaders from around the globe to discuss the biggest challenges facing our world.

The RCS Bath and District Branch is an educational charity operating in and around Bath promoting knowledge, understanding and collaboration between people of the Commonwealth. Norland has supported the RCS with several events and activities, including its biennial Young Artists’ Prize competition. Norland students from overseas Commonwealth countries can apply to receive the RCS Bath and District Brand Scholarship.
