Principal Dr Janet Rose and Vice Principal Mandy Edmond are attending the Higher Education Policy Institute (HEPI) Parliamentary Breakfast Seminar on 20 March 2024. Hosted by Barry Sheerman MP , the session will discuss ‘How should the higher education sector prepare for the forthcoming general election?’

The HEPI and Advance HE session at the Houses of Parliament will discuss the forthcoming general election, how higher education institutions and the sector should work with the politicians who may enter office, how higher education institutions can encourage free and fair debate, encouraging electoral registration from the student population and the likely future outcomes for the sector from the election results.

Guest speakers at the event include Professor Nick Pearce (Professor of Public Policy and Director of the Institute for Policy Research at the University of Bath), Professor Philip Lord Norton of Louth (Professor of Government and Director of the Centre for Legislative Studies at the University of Hull), and Rachel Wolf (Founding Partner, Public First).

For further information about the event, visit the event page on the HEPI website.
