Norland is delighted to announce its collaboration with Holland Cooper to create a bespoke changing bag that is “practically perfect in every way” for its world-famous nannies. With timeless quality at the heart of their designs, Holland Cooper have fused style and practicality with their distinctive tailoring for this made-for-purpose Norland Changing Bag.
Exclusively available as a gift for Norlanders who have successfully completed six months in a nanny or maternity role placed by the Norland Agency, in roles that begin on or after 1 May 2023, or who have excelled in their agency-provided position and have been nominated by a consultant, this unique and practical piece is an adaptation of Holland Cooper’s classic Hudson Changing Bag, with a custom-made two-tone brown Norland and Holland Cooper monogram print.
The bag is designed to pay homage to the pioneering history and the establishment of the early years profession represented by the iconic Norland uniform, which has been an essential part of Norland since its inception in 1892. Made to the highest quality, this staple item is sure to become a cherished essential for Norlanders throughout their careers.
The Norland Changing Bag includes a strap perfected to fit on any buggy, a memory foam changing mat, and side pockets. Whilst they might not carry a hat stand or a mirror, it is certain that any Norlander will enjoy both style and practicality when it comes to using their Norland Changing Bag.
While the Norland bag is only available to Norlanders, the original Holland Cooper Hudson Changing Bag is available at www.hollandcooper.com.
Norland and Holland Cooper will together donate 20% of sales of the Hudson Changing Bag to First Steps Bath, a charity and social enterprise working alongside children and families to raise learning and development outcomes and enhance communities.
The Norland Foundation has supported local charity First Steps Bath for a number of years enabling them to continue to support families including those who have children with additional needs.
Dr Janet Rose, Norland’s Principal and Vice-Chair of First Steps Bath, said “We’re delighted that Holland Cooper have offered to donate a percentage of sales from these bespoke Norland changing bags which I know will help to support the excellent work First Steps Bath does with local families and children.”
The hard work put in by Norland graduates both during their rigorous four-year degree and diploma training and throughout their careers comes with its rewards. Demand has consistently outstripped supply for over 130 years and Norlanders enjoy 100% employment opportunities for life through their own dedicated employment agency. Last year, the Norland Agency had 10 jobs for every Norlander seeking one. The average starting salary for Norlanders placed through the agency is £40,000, rising to £65,000 to £100,000 plus with experience, dependent on role and location.
