Dr Janet Rose will travel to Florida in May 2023 to speak at the International Nanny Conference hosted by the International Nanny Association (INA).

Dr Rose will lead two practical workshops at the conference. One will focus on self-regulation and how nannies can help young children to develop self-regulation. The second will introduce Emotion Coaching to support young children’s wellbeing and behaviour.

As a not-for-profit organisation, the INA aims to serve nannies, newborn care specialists, employers, agencies, industry service providers and anyone who has a calling to the nanny industry. Beginning in 1985, the US-based organisation offers information and training to nannies and their employers alike.

Just as Norland provides lifelong career support and advice to its fully qualified graduates, the INA’s commitment to professional excellence ensures its members are supported and protected in what can be an isolating career path.

The visit to Florida will be combined with one of Dr Rose’s lecture visits to the US as a Fellow of the prestigious Infant-Parent Mental Health Fellowship programme at the University of Massachusetts Boston.
