Today, Dr Janet Rose and Mandy Edmond will attend a prestigious Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace to celebrate and recognise those in the education and skills sectors

The Education and Skills Garden Party, which is one of only five garden parties hosted by His Majesty The King this year, will bring together around 7,000 representatives from the education sector. Supported by the Department for Education, the event recognises and celebrates those working in education from across the UK. Members of the Royal Family will be in attendance, as well as representatives from organisations across the education and skills sectors.

Dr Janet Rose, Principal, and Mandy Edmond, Vice Principal, will attend in recognition of Norland’s achievements in the higher education and early years sectors, especially for their role in championing small and specialist institutions within higher education.

Despite being one of the smallest higher education providers in the UK, Norland was recently granted indefinite degree awarding powers, marking the next significant milestone in its journey towards becoming the world’s first early years specialist university. The winner of multiple awards, Norland also holds a prestigious Gold rating in each category of the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) 2023, placing the early childhood specialist provider in the top 12% of providers in the country.
