Sexual assault or harassment
Report sexual assault or harassmentReporting sexual assault or harassment
If you are a student who has been affected by sexual violence or sexual harassment, we can advise you on how to get help and support.
Sexual violence and harassment can happen to anybody; it is not your fault. You do not need to report it to us if you do not want to. This is completely your choice.
However, there is a team at Norland who can offer support to anybody who may have been affected by sexual assault, sexual harassment or rape.
Report sexual assault or harassmentWhat we can do at Norland to help
Everyone will respond to an experience of sexual violence in different ways. There is no right or wrong way. We will provide you with the support that is suitable for you within our capacity to do so, but only if you want it.
Depending in the situation we may be able to:
- Arrange transport to the police, hospital or an external support agency such as The Bridge, SARSAS, Safe Link.
- Inform relevant Norland staff about your situation on your behalf.
- Support you with applying for Exceptional Assessment Circumstances (EACs).
- Make short-term changes to housing arrangements.
We will be able to offer a primary contact for academic and pastoral support moving forward.
