Norland welcomes Beijing Yaoyang Foundation delegation

Norland recently had the pleasure of hosting a delegation from the Beijing Yaoyang Foundation, showcasing its expertise in early childhood education and care.

The delegation, led by Yanming Wang (Secretary-General of the Yaoyang Foundation), included Xiaoping Wan (Principal of Beijing Bacui Bilingual School), Hongxia Jiang (Vice Principal of Beijing Bacui Bilingual School), Jamie Yin (CEO of Thames Holdings) and Shangmei Gao (Chairman of Galaxy Education Group).

Principal Dr Janet Rose, along with Vice Principals Mandy Edmond and Dr Rebecca Digby, warmly welcomed the visitors to Norland’s Oldfield Park campus. The delegation enjoyed a tour of the campus and engaged in discussions about Norland’s 133 years of pioneering expertise in early childhood education and care. The conversations highlighted Norland’s global impact and its dedication to raising standards in professional childcare education.

The Beijing Yaoyang Foundation, established in November 2022, is a charitable organisation focused on the wellbeing of the elderly and children. It actively implements public welfare projects such as poverty alleviation, educational support, medical assistance, infrastructure improvement for non-profit elderly care institutions, and emergency relief for natural disasters and public health incidents.

Principal Dr Janet Rose said: “We were delighted to welcome the delegation from the Beijing Yaoyang Foundation to Norland.
