Students from across Bath have come together to support the British Heart Foundation through a collaborative fundraising initiative led by the city’s Student Community Partnership.

Norland students are proud to be part of the Bath Student Community Partnership (SCP), which has helped raise more than £1 million for the British Heart Foundation through a long‑running, student-focussed fundraising initiative.

The Bath SCP is a joint commitment between Bath’s higher education sector and Bath & North East Somerset (B&NES) Council that brings together higher education providers and students to strengthen connections between the student population and the wider community. Norland is delighted to work with the University of Bath, Bath Spa University and Bath College, as well as their students’ unions on this important partnership.

The annual Student Moving Out Campaign, an SCP initiative that encourages students to donate their pre-loved items, has helped contribute to the milestone £1 million raised for the British Heart Foundation.

The campaign encourages students leaving their accommodation at the end of the academic year to donate good‑quality pre‑loved items, such as clothes, books and kitchenware, rather than throwing them away. Donated items are collected at points across Bath and provide stock for the British Heart Foundation shop in the city, where they are sold to help fund the charity’s research into cardiovascular disease.

In 2025, donated items through the campaign raised just under £209,000, bringing the total raised since the campaign launch to more than £1 million.

Norland’s involvement in the Bath Student Community Partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to community engagement, sustainability and social responsibility. As the SCP continues to deliver initiatives that strengthen connections between students and the wider Bath community, Norland remains dedicated to playing an active role and supporting our students to make a meaningful, positive contribution through partnership projects and community action.
