Norland is proud to announce that Emma Maskell, Head of Student and Academic Services, has been appointed as Sector Chair for the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) Specialist and Independent Providers’ Networking Community

The Specialist and Independent Providers’ Networking Community is a collaborative forum for sharing ideas, information and best practice in higher education policy among specialist and independent providers. It brings together colleagues from institutions across the UK to address key issues and champion initiatives that enhance the quality of specialist and independent higher education.

Emma’s appointment as Sector Chair reflects her dedication to advancing quality standards and fostering sector-wide collaboration. It also highlights Norland’s commitment to ensuring the voices and experiences of specialist and independent providers are central to discussions shaping higher education policy and strategy.

As Sector Chair, Emma will lead strategic discussions, share best practice, and represent the interests of specialist and independent providers within the QAA framework.

The QAA is an independent body working to benefit students and the wider higher education community by safeguarding and enhancing quality and standards across the sector.
