Principal Dr Janet Rose will deliver a virtual training presentation on Emotion Coaching to The Care Leaders on 15 April 2025.

This virtual presentation for The Care Leaders – an organisation which supports professionals working in the care sector to empower young people to leave care services in a better place than when they entered – forms part of their ‘We Care Week’ event for multi-agency professionals and foster carers.

The session, titled ‘An Introduction to Emotion Coaching’, will facilitate a deeper understanding of trauma-informed care through introducing the Emotion Coaching framework. Dr Rose’s presentation will explore the practice of Emotion Coaching as well as highlighting the research and rationale behind it, including how Emotion Coaching can help build vulnerable children’s and young people’s ability to self-regulate, as well as strengthen their resilience. The ‘We Care Week’ event aims to bring free sessions to professionals across the care sector, supporting participants to access tools, strategies, and insights.

Dr Janet Rose is Principal of Norland and co-founder of Emotion Coaching UK, a not-for-profit organisation which trains and researches the use of Emotion Coaching as a practical strategy to support the development of children’s and young people’s self-regulation, behaviour, wellbeing and resilience.

Norland has recently partnered with Emotion Coaching UK and the Education Endowment Fund on a national research trial of Emotion Coaching training early years staff in the use of emotion coaching to support young children’s ability to self-regulate.
