First-year student Klara is running the Bath Half Marathon for the Alzheimer’s Society.

Ahead of the half marathon, she said: “I have entered the Bath Half Marathon in aid of Alzheimer’s Society to push myself and achieve something new, whilst raising money for such an important cause. Alzheimer’s is a disease that affects so many people including myself and my family, so I feel proud to do my part in aid of this wonderful charity that I feel so passionately about.

“Nine years ago, my Grandad was diagnosed with dementia which greatly impacted our family. Therefore, I have witnessed first-hand the effects of the disease which has driven me to do what I can to support the charity and other families affected. Running a half marathon will be a great challenge, so I hope that people will donate to help me achieve my goal of raising £300 for the Alzheimer’s Society.”
