Raising the bar for family air travel with Bombardier
Norland partnered with Bombardier, a global leader in private and business aviation, to support them with their mission to redefine the experience of family travel.
Norland worked with Bombardier to create a bespoke online programme that gives Bombardier flight attendants the confidence and skills to care for young passengers and their families at the highest level of luxury travel.
Flying with children can present unique challenges such as unpredictable emotions, dietary needs and boundless energy. Bombardier sought to ensure its crew could provide the same world-class service to families as it does in every other aspect of private aviation.
We worked with Bombardier to create a dynamic, interactive online course designed specifically for Bombardier flight attendants, covering:
- Child development – milestones from infancy to anticipate needs at every age.
- Emotional responses in flight – how to recognise the triggers to children’s anxiety, excitement or fear, and techniques to help them to feel safe and secure.
- Age-appropriate behaviours – practical strategies to engage toddlers, preschoolers and older children.
- Healthy eating at altitude – guidance on nutritious snacks, hydration and managing allergies or special dietary requirements.
- Keeping children entertained – creative, quiet, age-appropriate activities to keep little travellers happy and parents relaxed.
