Financial information

In order to successfully apply for a Student Visa, you will need to demonstrate to UKVI (UK Visas and Immigration) that you have enough money to support yourself and pay for your course whilst you are in the UK. You need enough money to pay for your course for 1 academic year (up to 9 months). You will also need to show you have enough money to support yourself, as per the current government
guidance below:

£1,023 per month (for up to 9 months) for courses outside London

You must have this money for at least 28 consecutive days. The end date of the 28-day period must be within 31 days of the date you apply for your visa. If you have a student loan or financial sponsorship, you will need to provide evidence of this from your loan or sponsorship company. If you or your parents are paying for your studies, you will need to provide a bank statement in your name or your parent’s name, with your visa application.

If you are from a country listed under the ‘differential evidence requirement,’ you do not need to prove you have enough money to support yourself if you are a British national overseas or from one of the following countries or territories as listed on the government website.

However, you might be asked to provide this evidence before you get a decision on your application. If you do need to provide it, you will be contacted by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) after you have submitted your application.

Document checklist

Please remember to also submit copies of the following documents when you return this completed CAS Questionnaire. These documents will be referred to in the CAS statement we will provide you after receiving this form, which you will require to submit your visa application. It is important you retain these documents for when you apply for your visa.

• A copy of a current passport or other valid travel documentation
• Copies of the qualifications used to obtain your offer at Norland (and any relevant
translations/certifications of translations when needed)
• A copy of your IELTS for UKVI certificate (you do not need this if you have completed a
qualification equivalent to a UK degree in one of the countries listed on the government website, or are from one of the countries listed on the government website).
