Getting started with Microsoft Teams

What is Microsoft Teams?

Microsoft Teams is part of Microsoft 365 and can be used to:

• Meet online with your Academic Tutor

• Chat with other students

• Share files and documents

• Organise group work

• Create and join online meetings

At Norland, Teams is mainly used for tutor meetings and student collaboration rather than formal class teams.

Accessing Teams

1. Go to office.com 
2. Sign in with your Norland Microsoft 365 account
3. Select Teams from the list of apps

You can also download the Teams app for:

• Windows

• Mac

• iOS

• Android

Using the desktop or mobile app generally provides the best experience.
