Biography
Tara Nolty is an experienced academic, educator and creative practitioner with expertise in early childhood education, higher education, educational consultancy and professional development.
Formerly a Senior Teaching Fellow on University College London’s Early Years Initial Teacher Training Programme and a guest lecturer at several UK universities, she now lectures at Norland University of Early Childhood and remains committed to developing future educators through inclusive, reflective and research-informed teaching. Her experience spans educational leadership, curriculum development, quality enhancement, safeguarding and community engagement, with a strong focus on fostering compassionate and inclusive learning environments.
Alongside her academic practice, she is a published children’s author and illustrator, bringing creative and interdisciplinary perspectives to her teaching and scholarship. Her current research interests include teaching pedagogy, self and society, and reflexivity in professional practice
