Liz Hearn - Library Assistant

Liz joined Norland in 2022 as Library Assistant. In her role, she supports students to access a wide range of information and research materials.

Liz started her career as a mechanical engineer, spending 10 years in industrial settings. After working overseas for four years she returned to the UK and has lived in Bath for almost 20 years.

She has a passion for books, reading and learning and set up a new charity to rescue the local library. She is Chair of Trustees of Moorland Road Community Library where she has developed the book stock to encourage all readers, but in particular children’s reading. The volunteer-run library is well-loved by the local community.

As a church community outreach worker, she set up and ran a very successful weekly toddler group and has also volunteered at Bath’s Children’s Literature Festival as a steward and venue host.
