Biography

Kat joined Norland as a Learning Technologist in 2026, bringing a wealth of experience in Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) and a deep commitment to digital accessibility. In her role, Kat supports staff and students by facilitating the effective use of online learning platforms, providing technical training and promoting innovative ways to leverage educational technology.

Prior to joining Norland, Kat worked in the Department of Psychology at the University of Liverpool. Her professional background also includes substantial IT experience within further education, where she proudly served as her organisation’s champion for digital accessibility.

Kat’s core interests lie at the intersection of technology and pedagogy, focusing on inclusive education, blended learning and building digital confidence. She holds a BSc in Computer Networking from Sheffield Hallam University and an MA in Inclusive Education from Manchester Metropolitan University. Passionate about inclusive communication, Kat has also achieved a Level 1 qualification in British Sign Language.

Outside of work, Kat is an avid cinemagoer and enjoys spending her free time playing board games.
