What is a Newly Qualified Nanny?

A Newly Qualified Nanny (NQN) is a Norland graduate who has successfully completed three years of rigorous, full-time early years training. This includes earning our BA (Hons) in Early Years Development and Learning degree and the first three years of our diploma, including practical placement experience across a variety of early years settings.

Upon graduation, an NQN begins their first full-time probationary nanny position, employed directly by a family. This crucial year is designed to build confidence and further develop their professional skills, all while receiving ongoing support from both Norland and their employer. This unique transition ensures that NQNs are fully prepared to excel as professional nannies, equipped with the latest knowledge and hands-on experience. Find out more about employing a NQN
