Norland student Maisie and her partner Jack will be taking part in a mixed doubles HYROX in December 2025, in memory of Maisie’s best friend’s father, Luke Hart.

As a way to give back to the Hart family who played an integral role and meant so much to her during her formative years, Maisie chose this challenge to honour Luke’s memory and his strength during a tough battle against with a rare form of cancer. She will also be fundraising for The Luke Hart Foundation and Cancer Research UK.

HYROX combines both running and functional fitness stations, where participants run 1km, followed by 1 functional workout station, repeated eight times. Maisie and Jack aim to complete it in under 1 hour 20 minutes!
