Dr Janbee Shaik Mopidevi PhD, FHEA - Early Years Lecturer

Prior to joining Norland, Janbee has worked in higher education contexts (Anglia Ruskin University and the University of Suffolk) and in early years settings in England and at an early years funding organisation, the Bernard van Leer Foundation based in the Hague. Prior to this, she was a lecturer at Siddhartha Mahila Kalasala and taught at an alternative school based on Jiddu Krishnamurti philosophy in India.

Janbee brings a strong multi-disciplinary background to the field of education and childhood studies. She has a PhD in early childhood education (with an international and comparative focus) from Anglia Ruskin University and postgraduate degrees in political science from the University of Hyderabad, India and in international development with a specialisation in public policy and management from Erasmus University, Netherlands.

Janbee is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy; acts as Communication Officer and serves on the OMEP committee on Early Childhood Sustainable Citizenship Award at OMEP UK World Organisation for Early Childhood. Janbee is an elected Governing Board Member for the Relation Centered Education Network (RCEN) at the University of California and serves as an Editorial Board Member for Glocality (a Netherlands based journal on UN Sustainable Development Goals) and for the Journal of Critical Education & Policy Studies (JCEPS).
