Join us to learn more about our brand new BA (Hons) Early Childhood Education and Care degree

Join us for our next Norland Unwrapped on Wednesday 31 May 2023 at 5-6pm GMT as we explore our brand new BA (Hons) Early Childhood Education and Care degree (subject to validation) that we’ll be offering from September 2023.

In this virtual session, members of our Learning and Teaching team will talk you through the course content in our brand new degree. This will include discussing some of our exciting new modules, such as Supporting Children to Regulate Behaviour, Principles of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and Learning, Development and Pedagogical Theory which students will study in their first year. Our lecturing team will also talk to you about the optional modules which will allow students to choose subjects that they’re most passionate about, such as A Focus on Sustainable Practice, A Focus on Practical Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths, and A Focus on Entrepreneurship for Nannies.

We’ll also look into how the new degree will work alongside the practical Norland diploma which will continue to provide all the practical skills required to care for children and support their development. This includes Food and Nutrition, Sewing and practical skill masterclasses.

Our lecturing team will also talk you through how students will be assessed throughout the course, with assessment methods ranging from essays to presentations and placement-based assessments and observations.
