Charity Bike Ride for Children’s Hospice South WestApril 2020
Victoria, Lucy, Emily, Lotti, Erin and Hatty (Set 42 students) are completing a charity bike ride for Children's Hospice South West. The students will be doing a 200 mile bike ride in which they will pass through all three hospices.
They are looking for people to donate or lend cycle gloves, cycling shorts, base layers, rain gear, eye protection, inner tubes, puncture repair kit and pump, bike multi tool, lights, a cycle computer such as a Garmin or six bikes.

Toilet TwinningJanuary 2020 £342.12
A Bring and Buy sale and raffle for Toilet Twinning raised £342.12 for the charity. This led to five Norland loos being twinned with toilets in Pakistan, Cote d'Ivoire, Central African Republic, Honduras and Uganda.
Clear out your cupboards campaignOctober 2019 Five boxes of toiletries and cosmetics
The 'Clear out your cupboards event' saw five boxes of toiletries and cosmetics were collected on 17th October, organised by Porcia Densley from the NQN team. The donations will be split between two charities. The first is ‘Give and Makeup’. Give and Makeup support ‘Refuse’ and ‘Women’s Aid’ in the London and Cardiff area. The second charity is ‘London Jesus Centre’, they helps refugees, asylum seekers and the homeless, all in the London area.
Red Nose DayMarch 2019 £276.58
On Wednesday 13 March 2019 our students organised a non-uniform day along with other fundraising activities to raise money for Comic Relief, ahead of Red Nose Day. There were plenty of cakes baked by students and staff across both Oldfield Park and York Place sites.
For one day only, students were allowed to wear bright red lipstick!
Christmas box donationDecember 2018
In the run-up to Christmas, Norland student Lucy Rainsford coordinated Norland’s contribution of 26 boxes filled with presents for children and families who are struggling around Christmas time. The boxes were donated to the charity Link to Hope, which sent over 800,000 shoeboxes to Eastern Europe last year. This year, the charity hopes to help more families in need.
Red Box Project donationOctober 2018
The creation of a red box for local school donations and a Facebook page for the Red Box Project, which campaigns to raises awareness of period poverty and donates sanitary products to young girls who would otherwise miss school.
Minerva’s Owls of BathJune to September 2018 £2,730
In the summer of 2018 we participated in the Minerva Owls of Bath sculpture trail. Our owl, named Emily after our founder Emily Ward, was designed by a local artist named Vera. Emily had a prime spot throughout the summer, positioned outside the Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa, where she was one of the main attractions on the trail. In October, we were delighted to secure Emily at the charity auction, which raised a total of almost £140,000 for Bath-based charities. We're delighted that Emily has now permanently nested at Norland College.
Little Princess Trust hair donationJune 2018
Norland student Charlotte Tasquier donated approximately 16 inches of hair to the Little Princess Trust. Her donation of hair will be used to create a free wig for a child who has lost their hair due to cancer or another illness.

Norland staff and students were delighted to donate a baby bath and stand to the Antenatal and Postnatal Ward at the Royal United Hospitals Bath.
Fundraising for Children’s Hospice South WestMarch 2018 £2,356
The Norland Charity Committee raised an amazing £2,356 for Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW). The money was raised by holding a charity ball, a non-uniform day and a cake sale and by collecting money in Bath.
Georgina’s 2.6 ChallengeApril 2020
Georgina, Set 42, is taking part in the 2.6 Challenge this weekend by taking her dog Hugo for a walk in order to raise money for Children's Hospice South West.
